Malvern Community Outreach Ministry

Malvern Community Outreach Ministry(MCOM)

MCOM is a non-profit organization operating under the auspices of The United Church of Canada under the oversight of the Toronto Southeast Presbytery.

Our Mission Statement:

Recognizing that we are all God's people, the Malvern Community Outreach Ministry seeks to make known God's love by providing caring support for persons in a manner that preserves their dignity and empowers them to lead productive and responsive lives.

Our History:

The MCOM was established in March, 2007. It serves the Malvern community within the boundaries of Markham Road and Morningside Drive, Finch Avenue and Sheppard Ave.

Our Programs:

Senior Program, "Family Circle"
Healthy Living Programs
Diabetes Education Program
Chronic Pain Self Management Workshop
Hypertension Management Workshop (Heart and Stroke)
Pre-Diabetes Physical Activity Program
Health Problems and Medications Workshop
Food Security Program
Cooking Healthy Together Program
(These programs are offered in partnership and cooperation with TAIBU Health Community Service and Agincourt Community Services Association.)

Volunteers:

MCOM always welcomes people who would like to share their times and talents. There are opportunities to volunteer in our programs and to become a member and supporter of our ministry.
