2) identify commitments that are dependent on these assets and;

3) recommend how these assets should be managed, including a recommendation on the most appropriate investment, management and oversight structure and policies.

Status Report
As you know the Assets and Funding Task Group, established by the Toronto Conference Restructuring Steering Group, met over the months of April, May and June with representatives of the current Presbyteries, the Presbytery Corporations, the Toronto United Church Council, the Executive of the Toronto Conference and the MS Committee. In June, they issued a Status Report outlining what was heard, some preliminary conclusions of the Task Group, and a summary of the asset management and distribution options that are being considered. This Status Report can be viewed by clicking here.

The Assets and Funding task group held their meeting on September 12 as planned. About 50 stakeholders within the Conference attended. All nine Presbyteries, the Toronto West Presbytery Corporation, the Tri Presbytery Corporation, The Toronto United Church Council, the Cedar Glen and Mission Support committees were all represented. All meeting attendees were given a package when they arrived. You can download the information provided here: WORD-DOC or PDF

The full day meeting was facilitated by Ruth Sirman, a professional facilitator and mediator whose father was a United Church minister. Excellent discussion and contemplation of the options took place and the AFTG will now work on its recommendations.
