MEMBERSHIP
Ethnic Ministries Committee is a large group within the Toronto Conference with six Conference Appointees, nine Presbytery representatives, and numerous Ethnic and Corresponding Ethnic congregations, as well as other non-voting persons. Ms. Young-Hee Yoon is the chair of this committee, with Mr. Victor Kitigawa as secretary and Rev. Dr. Wenh-In Ng as Conference staff. We have enjoyed our diversity and our ability to share each other’s culture, style of worship, community, and food.
MEETINGS
From September 2002, we introduced the conference executive meeting format to our regular meetings: striving for Justice, Developing Healthy Ministries, and Nurturing Spiritual Life. We sorted the different issues into the above time and encouraged the members to share their ministries in the specified way. Also, in the 2002 meetings, we invited representatives to share their special ministries (e.g. Camping ministries and Archive & History Committee) that enhanced the connection between Ethnic ministries and other ministries within the Toronto Conference. We will present and discuss some useful materials with our colleagues (e.g. Conflict Management, property concerns).
