Restructured UCW ready for the future

United Church Women across the Conference have had two very busy years planning how to restructure from nine to four Presbyterials in order to align with the new Presbyteries of Toronto Conference. All four have core executives in place. Several Presbyterials have chosen co-presidents in order to share the workload and ensure representation from all areas of the new, much larger Presbyterials. In Living Waters Presbyterial, Laurie Cook, formerly from York, and Nancy Waxl, from Muskoka, illustrated their intention to work together by dressing “as one” and entertained members with a rap outlining their hopes and plans. Toronto Conference UCW is blessed to have seven women such as these who have indicated their willingness to lead the new Presbyterials with humor, wisdom and enthusiasm as we journey into the future.
