Annual Meeting 2010

Moderator Mardi Tindal

Moderator Mardi Tindal is coming to Toronto Conference 2010 Annual Meeting. Read some of her thoughts prior to the AGM, check out her blog. Here's the link:

Soul, Community & Creation

Moderator Mardi Tindal believes God invites us into wholeness of soul, community and creation. To be a person of faith is to live by spiritual, communal and justice-seeking practices which bring God's peace, justice and integrity.
When asked about the greatest commandment, Jesus said: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind… You shall love your neighbour as yourself." (Mt. 22:37-39.) Loving God, neighbour and self are only possible as we also love God's good creation. The work of soul, community and creation converge.

A growing network of people are encouraging one another in living this convergence, through story-telling, information-sharing, liturgies, practical tips and political action. By joining this growing network you'll help us stay in touch and know who is involved. Please add your name by registering to 'join the national interfaith network' (identifying yourself as Christian – United at: www.greeningsacredspaces.net.) You will receive electronic
newsletters and more, to support you in spiritual, communal and justice-seeking practices. For resources in French: greenchurchproject.org.

A Special Invitation from the Moderator

During Mardi's time as Moderator she has invited special attention to the healing of the planet and an eco-sustainable future. While this work will obviously extend beyond her three years as Moderator, the time for action is now.
